Ledgent is partnering with a great company in the south metro adding a unique role to their team. While is this position is primarily focused on full-cycle Accounting, the ideal candidate would have a drive/willingness to help out where needed such as organizing unique team events, celebrating employee 'wins' with pizza parties and other fun ideas.
Highly visible position working directly with the CEO.

- Training: As long as you've got the extensive accounting knowledge, the rest is trainable (payroll, HR, etc.)
The Role Itself:
- Accounting:
- Set-up new vendors/customers ensuring all documentation is readily available
- Create invoices; monitor the accuracy by comparing sales orders against purchase orders and bill of lading
- Create credit memos and reconcile against payments; look for answers when partial payments are made without any matching credit memos
- Create purchase orders for imported good and record received inventory appropriately with fluctuating exchange rate.
- Prepare bi-weekly Payroll
- Prepare and analyze Financial Reports, Balance sheet /Income statement
- Manage day-to-day Banking/accounting activities and reconcile statement monthly
- Assist with audits
- Follow our internal procedures and policies while providing recommendations for improvements
- Human Resources, IT, and Office Related duties
- Will handle, manage Human Resources which includes posting jobs, interviewing and screening candidates, employee rewards and disciplinary actions, onboarding, and overall handbook policy.
- Manage IT and related: source best providers, issue help tags, lead cybersecurity measures with IT provider and staff.
- Compare and review all insurance needs: Business Insurance, Workers Comp, other.
- Other related business matters: phones, security systems, business leases or needs.
- Optimize our cash flow by monitoring receivables and payables closely.
- Prepare cash flow projections and plan for future cash needs
- Help organize team outings, fun events, and employee appreciation ideas!
What's needed:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
- Experience: 5+ years of strong accounting experience (good work history, ideally not 'job hoppy')
- Advanced Excel User
- Okay wearing multiple hats (smaller company - someone who does enjoy the HR side)
- QuickBooks or ERP experience (BONUS!)
